Q: Who is Kookaburra?

Our company began as the idea of three Aussie men – a father and his two sons. During their travels to America, they discovered there was no ‘real’ Australian soft eating style licorice available which they themselves loved to eat. And so a family company was formed to export the traditional licorice products direct from Australia to the U.S.A. to share this delicious treat with Americans.


Q: Is Kookaburra Licorice an Australian or USA owned company?

Kookaburra Licorice is an American company, based just outside of Seattle, Washington. Its directors are Australian, however one of them now lives permanently in the USA with his American wife and daughter. Kookaburra Licorice also employs several other Americans in their office, who answer all customer enquiries and run the office and warehouse.


Q: Where is Kookaburra Licorice located?

Our office and warehouse premises are located one hour outside of Seattle, Washington.


Q: Does Kookaburra Licorice sell wholesale?

Definitely! Most of Kookaburra Licorice’s customers are distributors and wholesalers. Q: How do I order online?

Please Click Here to be directed to our online store to place your order. Simply add the items you would like to your shopping cart and fill in your billing and shipping details, and your order will be sent directly to your chosen address.


Q: What currency are prices in?

All our prices are in USD.


Q: What payment system does your website use?

We use "PayPal" to process all website payments.  A "PayPal" account is not required.

Select "PayPal" as your payment method. Then "Continue"

Review and select "Place order"

You will be directed to the "PayPal" portal.  From this screen you may log in to access your "PayPal" account.

If you prefer, you may click the GRAY "Pay with Debit or Credit Card" button.  You may enter your payment information here.  NO PAYPAL ACCOUNT REQUIRED.


Q: How can I tell that my payment is secure?

When shopping on Kookaburra’s website, you can be assured of complete security. Our website is protected by an SSL security certificate which you can see on the base of the internet page as a padlock icon. This means that our payment system securely encrypts your personal and financial details to protect you. Our website uses industry standard 128-bit encryption. This secure software locks all critical information entered on the website, including payment information.

Further, credit card details are not held in any of our systems beyond the point where your payment is processed. The card number is processed for payment and then deleted from our systems. As a result, you will need to re-enter your credit card details for any future orders as a protection mechanism.

Our office and warehouse is located just outside Seattle, WA. All orders are shipped from this location direct to your chosen destination.


Q: Which freight company will my Kookaburra Licorice order ship through?

When purchasing from our online store, you have your choice of three delivery methods:
i) Pick up your order from our office in Washington (14512 167th Ave SE, Ste. 192, Monroe, WA 98272)
ii) Delivery via UPS shipping - Prices deterimed at checkout based on order and delivery location.
iii) Delivery via USPS shipping** (Flat Rate charge of $7.75. Orders over $20 receive a shipping charge of $6.00. Free shipping if order is over $100.00)


Q: How much does shipping cost?

Shipping prices are determined by the size and weight of your order. Simply select the items you wish to order, and our website will calculate your shipping cost prior to payment.

USPS - Flat Rate -  $7.75 for orders from $0.01 up to $20.00, $6.00 for orders over $20.01 up to $100.00, Free shipping for orders over $100.01


Q: Can I track my shipment?

Should you choose either a UPS or USPS delivery with the option to track your package, you will be provided with a tracking number by the shipping company by which you can trace your shipment.


Membership/Creating an Account

Q: Is membership compulsory to place an order?

No, you do not have to register or create an account or become a member of any club in order to place an order on Kookaburra Licorice’s website.


Q: What are the benefits of membership or creating an account?

As a Kookaburra account holder or member, your order and shipping details are recorded in our system. This does not include your payment information! Our website will remember your name, address, shipping preferences and old orders. If you are a frequent customer, this can be very useful as you can simply re-order your favourites based on your previous orders with the added convenience of not having to fill in your contact details each time. Further, as a member, you receive first access to online sales and promotions, as well as updates on fun new products or other exciting news.


Q: If I become a member, will you record my payment details?

Never! Kookaburra Licorice understands the importance of privacy and online protection. Your payment information is never retained by our company for any purpose.


Q: Can I cancel my membership?

Of course, you can simply select to no longer be a member at any time by logging into your account.


Q: Is there a cost for being a member?

Nothing, zero, zip! No, there’s no cost for having an account with us. It is simply as a benefit for our customers.


Q: I’ve forgotten my password or need to change my password.
