Kookaburra – A native Australian bird with a distinctive laugh-like call
Licorice – A sweet, chewy candy with derived from licorice root
Liquorice – The Australian spelling of licorice
Bulk – Our bulk case is 15.4 pounds of liquorice loose in a bag rather than packaged into a bag or tub
Wholesale – Buying wholesale is where small or large company that purchase products from Kookaburra then onsell to the general consumer
Pallet – Our pallets contain 96 cases of bulk or packaged liquorice products
Treacle – A dark syrup derived from sugar
Wheat Flour – Flour derived from grinding whole wheat kernels or ‘berries’
Wheat Syrup – A syrup created by the process of heat and acid on wheat
Molasses – Thick, brown juice derived from raw sugar during its refining process
Modified Food Starch (Corn) – A food additive derived from treating corn stach
Licorice Extract – A flavorful infusion derived from the root of the liquorice plant
Monoglyceride – A glyceride consisting of one fatty acid chain bonded to a glycerol molecule
Soy Lecithin – A fatty acid
Diglycerides – A glycerides consisting of two fatty acid chains bonded to a glycerol molecule
Emulsifier – Often a food additive used to stabilize processed foods
Sulphites – A salt of sulphurous acid
Citric Acid – An organic acid that is used as a flavoring and setting agent
Malic Acid – An organic acid also used as a flavoring
Sodium Bicarbonate – Also known as baking soda, it is a chemical leavening agent
Sodium Citrate – The salt of sodium and citric acid, used as a flavoring agent
Cocoa Butter – A fatty substance derived from cocoa beans, frequently used in confectionary
Whole Milk Powder – A powder derived from whole milk by removing water
